If your vehicle has Android Auto, it can bring apps to your car display so you can focus while you drive. You can control features like vehicle’s infotainment system:
Make/receive calls
⦁ Use Google Maps
⦁ Stream YouTube music
⦁ Use Google Assistant
⦁ And more
To use Android Auto, you must first connect your phone to your vehicle. The connection can be setup through the following two ways:
⦁ Connect Through USB Port
⦁ Connect Wirelessly
1.Your vehicle must be parked the first time you connect.
2.An Android phone with Android 8.0 (Oreo) or higher and a high-quality USB cable.
3.Using the USB cable to connect your phone to the vehicle's USB data port.
4.Your phone may ask you to download the Android Auto app and other Android Auto-related apps, like Google Maps, or update to the newest version of the app.
5.If Android Auto does not automatically launch, touch the Android Auto icon on your vehicle's touchscreen.
6.Follow the prompts on your vehicle's touchscreen and on your phone to start.
7.You will be asked to accept Terms before using the feature.
8.When Android Auto is active, the touchscreen will show the phone apps that are accessible.
Important: Android Auto is integrated into phones with Android 10 and above. You do not need to download it.
Only select phones and select vehicles support this feature. If your vehicle and phone do offer this option, work through these steps to set up a wireless connection:
1.Make sure your vehicle is parked.
2.A compatible Android phone with an active data plan and 5 GHz Wi-Fi support. Wireless projection is compatible with these Android versions:
⦁ Any phone with Android 11.0
⦁ A Google or Samsung phone with Android 10.0
⦁ A Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, or Note 8, with Android 9.0
3.Tap the ANDROID AUTO icon on the infotainment screen.
4.Pair/connect your phone to the infotainment system using Bluetooth.
5.Follow the prompts on the screen and on your phone to start.
6.You will be asked to accept Terms before using the feature.
7.When Android Auto is active, the touchscreen will show the phone apps that are accessible.
